Wobble/ Toddle Room

Our Wobble/Toddle room caters for children from 10 months to 2 years.
Here the children are given every opportunity to learn, play and discover within a safe environment.

There is a focus on art and crafts, music, drama, messy and purposeful play in order to develop the children’s senses, independence and concentration.
There is a strong emphasis on physical exercise and developing the toddler’s gross motor skills; with this in mind our wobblers/toddlers have direct access to the garden.

Playschool: 2 years- 3½ years

When children move into the main room they move into a more structured environment with more advanced equipment. This is an age when children begin to play together. Vocabulary increases greatly and sentences rather than just words are formed. Activities and curriculum’s are designed around these many changes to enhance their individual development. Children are also toilet trained at this stage and we endeavour to work closely with you the parents to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Pre-School: 3½ years- 5 years

In pre-school children are introduced to a classroom environment. They become used to sitting at a table and concentrating for longer periods of time. Children will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and mathematics. Our curriculum also concentrates on languages, arts and crafts, the world we live in, music, freeplay, cookery and personal and social development. Parents are informed on a regular basis as to how their child is progressing. In the pre –school room children will learn the basics to more than equip them for the school environment.

After-School Service

Our After-School Service caters for children who attend Primary School, this is a service which allows the school going child to have a relaxed afternoon of supervised care with their peers and also a chance to be with their siblings.

We provide a collection service each afternoon from local Primary Schools and offer a hot lunch, activities, homework supervision, trips and a place to relax and be themselves.
